You da Best.

Yes it's been almost a week, leave me alone. YOU try running your own business and see how much time YOU have to write a fresh and interesting blog post. SURVEY: What part of the Junos was most embarrassing- The skit where Drake humiliated elderly people in an old age home? Or the fact that Justin Bieber didn't even show up?

OR that I am even admitting to watching that mess?

Keeping them Honest.

Nothing like relaxing after a long day of sitting in cars and chairs with a tumbler of my old pal, Two Oceans:

That's right, Chicken Wine is now dead to me and I've gone running back to that South African whore! It goes down easy, especially the white. I've reverted back to red for one night since it was purchased as cooking wine but I'll deal- hell, I'd take half an Ocean right now!
We drove too far to go to a pointless auction today in a town which shall remain nameless.
Stock photo taken from Internet:

That is what all auctions look like, FYI. You are surrounded by a sea of elderly farmers and people without day jobs. Expect to inhale a few country farts and uncovered coughs, you're in it for the long haul. Maybe there are roughly 10-15 items you really want but prepare to sit through a hundred pieces of $2 garbage only to be outbid by some random guy who just so happens to hoard the thing you desire.
On the bright side, there is usually a snax counter serving up cheap hamburgs and sausages- everybody is shovelling it in, so you might as well partake.
HOT TIP: When you are in an airless, crowded space, it is best not to whip out a salmon sandwich and mouth-breathe it all over your neighbours. Salmon sandwiches are an anti-social snack, I repeat, an anti-social snack!
It is hard work acquiring things for you people, it is done out of love.
Hearts.

Taken outside of the Halifax Seaport Farmer's Market....do you see them?

The tiny little houses on that tiny little island?!?!

I will go to those tiny little houses in my mind from time to time.

SF2.

Snuggled in to the couch in my 90's Eddie Bauer pa-jay-jays eatin' chocolate cream pie leftovers and surfin' the net, American Idol on in the background, so harsh in the ear region.

I'm too beat to do the dishes again. Thankfully, Jay is never too tired to make dinner, even after a 13 hour day of driving. We are ready to open the new shop tomorrow. Two days where Silver Falls 1 took two months! I want to call the new one Silver Falls Too or Silver Falls Again? or Silver Falls the Next Generation.
Silver Falls Harder.
Anyhoo, I believe Spring is here people so yeah, uh J.Lo is pretending so hard and there is a dude with tourettes this season.

Jump in!

Driving to Halifax and back is far- fact.
I think I am starting to get to the bottom of Quebec City though. It really is the perfect halfway stop between Toronto and Saint John.
I will post a few more trip photos when I locate my camera but they aren't that exciting since it hardcore rained all over me during my Halifax exploration mission.
I think I'm so zonked today because I lost two hours coming back thanks to zones/spring forward....and I jumped right back into the frying pan at the warehouse this morning.
Aaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnddd.................

Jay and I are opening up another business starting today. Announcement!
We will be selling antiques and objects again out of a space at 1080 Queen St. just East of Dovercourt.
The shop should be up and running within a week! I will keep y'all posted.

Life from Windows.

The harbor from the condo in Saint John:

Deers hang out on the hill in the back. I tried to take a photo of one...it's in there,I promise:

Right now I am in Halifax, chilling in the hotel. Jay left for the day to work and I am going to wander around and look at stufffffff.
Last night I ate lobster-stuffed haddock..........

It is nice n' foggy out this morning. Do you feel like it has been a long time sice you have seen color?
My life is so gray. Maybe that is why the houses are painted bright colors here.
What I wouldn't give to see a flower right now.
Okay, I'll take some more exciting photos today, promise.

S.J.

In Saint John right now, my relaxation level is at a 10 now.
Had a seafood binge a Grannan's tonight with Jay's Mom, then a champagne guzzling session while watching shows I'm not allowed to watch at home (ANTM/AI) Yes girls like these shows, it's genetic, guy.
I try to imagine living in a place other than Toronto. Some place smaller and fresher with no hustle, without that feeling of being a speck in a sea of endless endless.
I was born in the sea sea , a through and through Pisces, but I am perpetually landlocked.
You do what you gotta do and you bust your back for a remote future, whatever that may be.
Stay present and prosper Lambikins.

Q.C.

You thought your winter problems in Toronto were big, you should check out what's going on in Quebec City right now....

We stopped for the night here on our way to Saint John. Usually we just breeze in and out and try to stay near highways, but Hotwire put us right in the heart of the beautiful junk this time....

Quebec City is an isolated fairy land of beautiful buildings and confusing streets...and did I mention the snow? 70 centimeters.

Our rental car was in some perilous scenarios tonight.

We're staying in a little 12 room boutique hotel in Old Quebec.......

I must know, what is the deal with the transparent showers here?
Had this before at a hotel down the road. It's like Shower TV:

Old Timey:

Tomorrow, we keep trucking to New Brunswick.
Au Revoir, Buttercups.

B-A-N-A-N-A-S!

I had four days demolished last week thanks to that stomach flu so I've been squeezing every inch out of the last three days catching up before I leave for Halifax tomorrow.
Cramming your life isn't conducive to overall mental well-being and I can easily cross that border into Anxiety Town. Population: Me.
Being "busy" is gross, it's not the important thing, just life ass-backwards.

I've sent out apology emails; sorry if I was acting weird.....I know I was being a little sketchy...I meant to email you back earlier........

Last night I dreamt I was being chased by sinister, oily pitbulls who were relentlessly driven by an unknown dark purpose. I am reminded of a poignant moment from inspirational film Conan the Barbarian where he is being pursued by a pack of hungry wolves. He outpaces them and climbs safely up a rock. Cut to next scene- Conan is wearing a new cloak made from the fur of the beasts.
Lesson: You must take the demons that hunt you down and annihilate them by skinning them alive and wearing them as fashion. Do you get it?
So much to be learned from that film.

It was a complete and total barf-o-rama.

Want to know what I have been doing for the last few days?

Yep, I got another stomach bug, what's up with that?
That's two so far this year if you are counting. I am desperate to eat but my stomach ain't having it. The key to surviving these things is continuously forcing liquids down your throat, even if you can't bear it.
I recommend keeping a container of powdered Gatorade in your cupboard at all times.

It is the gift that keeps on giving; it is your friend. When you are hungover, dehydrated, sick or just need a complete and total thirst-quenching to the max, it will be there.
I just sleep better at night knowing it is nearby.
I love you powdered Gatorade.
